Goldwynn Boutique Hotel and Residence is the newest high-end resort on the Cable Beach Strip, developed by the local Wynn Family. 

PHD’s brief on this fast-track project was to provide access for the formation of the installation of the high level architecturally glazed atrium – simple enough.  However, the team were not allowed to base any scaffolding at ground level because of the fast-track programme. The upper balconies to the penthouses had to be kept clear. 

The PHD team devised a design whereby they put a bridge scaffolding across the lower balconies, cantilevered out and offered a table form up into the shell-like atrium. At a later point, they had to suspend from that scaffold to afford access to the feature wall for the installation of the fine art sculpture. 

The PHD Bahamas team consulted with PHD UK who are quite familiar with this strip of beach, having consulted on the Baha Mar, Sandals, British Colonial, Bayrock, Crystal Palace, Melia, Breezes, and the Wyndham Hotels.
